mix 103 for your work day

My life is not complete until I hear John Mayer on the radio.

"Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's ok though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation.. so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type.. I'm like, 'Hey girl, magenta!' and she's like, 'Oh, you mean purple!' and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, 'No- I want magenta!'"

- John Mayer

So I work for an appraisal business and we listen to the same station everyday. No doubt there will always be a little "why georgia why" "waiting on the world to change" for us. But I'm afraid that I'm becoming too green and not glowing lime. I need some variety!

It's a good thing that I get to do all sorts of actual work. I get to go take pictures of houses, check utilities, answer phones, make appointments, type up appraisal reports (all in very nice cars) and on the other side mow the lawn, take the kids to soccer practice, feed the baby, etc. It's all very entertaining and I am excited to go to work everyday and see what it is that I get hooked up with (my bosses favorite phrase I am catching on to). I'm also glad that I am finally learning all the lingo and actually know what is going on now. Sometimes the work is tiring but I need the moolah. And what's really cool is that I should be getting hooked up with a Kings Dominion Summer Pass to take the kids to once school gets out. How cool would that be to get paid to go to an amusement park?!
